Cummington records nine deeds, but most sale prices go undisclosed
Cummington recorded nine property deeds between July 10 and Aug. 8, but only three disclosed a sale price. Those ranged from $40,000 to $140,000, with a median of $89,215. The top disclosed sale was 162 Nash Rd. at $140,000, sold by Elizabeth Anderson to CMG Mortgage Inc. on July 31. A bank or mortgage-servicing entity was grantor or grantee in six of the nine transfers, and the town of Chesterfield purchased 19 Beechwood Rd. for $89,215. With most prices undisclosed, the available data offers only a partial read on the period's market.
