Nine Properties Change Hands in Cummington, but Only One Sale Discloses a Price
Nine properties changed hands in Cummington between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, according to Hampshire County Registry of Deeds records, but only one transaction disclosed a sale price: $30,000 for 47 Main St., sold by Lyle M. and Lyle Hazel to Florence Bank. Porter Hill Road saw the most activity, with three separate transfers. More than half the period's deeds involved a bank or mortgage-registration entity as buyer or seller, and Cummington Town acquired two properties. With price data missing from eight of nine transactions, the period's overall market direction cannot be assessed from this data alone.
